The OWL Foundation was founded to fund programs that address learning problems for individuals who experience academic failure. Its mission is to ensure that every child is treated individually and is provided with the opportunity to reach his or her full potential.
Funding and Scholarship History:
The OWL Foundation is funding youth education programs, including The Education Foundation of Collier County, from funds raised during the 2003 JPMorgan Chase Tennis Challenge.
In 2002, The OWL Foundation adopted Mary McCloud Bethune School in Palm Beach County and purchased $50,000.00 worth of computers that were provided to various schools in Palm Beach County.
The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale has supported The OWL Foundation since 2000 by awarding a $10,000.00 scholarship to one of its students. Both Venus Williams and Serena Williams attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. In 2001 the recipient of this $10,000.00 scholarship was Ebony Patterson.
The OWL Foundation provides special education assistance to the students selected by the school.
